What else can I do?

There are many simple things you can do around your home or office to be more energy efficient and to help benefit our environment.

  • Replacing each regular bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb saves 150 pounds of CO2 a year per bulb.
  • Plant trees to shade your home or building, reducing your cooling costs in the summer months.  Typically, newly planted trees will begin shading windows in their first year and will reach single story roofs in years 5 -10.
  • Unplug battery chargers when batteries are fully charged or the chargers are not in use.
