Customers with onsite generation other than emergency generation take service under one of our MPSC-filed rates and, typically, a rider to the rate covering the impacts of operating onsite generation.
The three most common rates:
- Rate Schedule No. D1 Residential Service Rate, typically used by residential customers.
- Rate Schedule No. D3 General Service Rate, typically used by commercial customers.
- Rate Schedule No. D6 Primary Supply Rate, typically used by industrial customers.
For more detail, see Section D of the online Rate Book.
The riders for non-emergency onsite generation:
-
Standard Contract Rider No. 3, Parallel Operation and Standby Service
