In accordance with the Michigan Public Service Commission’s Electric Interconnection Standards, we maintain the following list of equipment for use by generating project developers whose projects contemplate interconnection with our distribution system.
The inverters and relays identified below are included on this list because the type, make and model have been previously determined by us to be generally acceptable for interconnection with our distribution system. Thus, a detailed review of the item’s engineering design, characteristics, or suitability is not necessary in order for us to approve its use or installation by a project developer. However, while this equipment has met standards that were specific to their application, each application is different. Overhead circuit configurations may vary throughout the our service territory. Therefore, each application will have to be studied for safety considerations, and we make no representation that the acceptance of any particular type, make or model in a given application is ensured.
Prior to purchase of any equipment, a project developer should consult with us regarding the potential feasibility for safe and reliable interconnection of the specific proposed project with our system. Acceptance and approval of any particular project requires compliance with the Michigan Electric Utility Generator Interconnection Requirements, which govern the process, requirements and agreements used to install or modify generation projects with aggregate generator output capacity of ratings less than 30 kW and designed to operate in parallel with a utility electric system.
We make no representation that any particular piece of equipment listed below is free from design or manufacturing defects (or defects of any kind). Further, we neither endorse nor make any warranty of any kind with regard to the equipment identified below.
